RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah held a phone call with US.Secretary of State Marco Rubio and discussed latest regional developments.

During the call, the two sides reviewed the strategic relations between their friendly nations and discussed the latest regional developments, as well as ongoing efforts related to them, according to the Saudi Press Agency on Tuesday.

The phone call underscores the deep and longstanding strategic partnership between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which has been a cornerstone of Middle East stability for over eight decades.

The relationship, often anchored by mutual interests in energy security and regional defence, has evolved in recent years to include broader cooperation in technology, investment, and counterterrorism efforts.

Both nations continue to coordinate closely on shared priorities, including the implementation of the Saudi-Israeli normalisation framework and security guarantees as part of broader diplomatic realignments in the region.

Earlier Saudi Arabia and 18 other countries strongly condemned the recent Israeli decisions expanding control over parts of the occupied West Bank, warning that the measures violate international law and jeopardize the prospects for a two-state solution and regional peace.
