JEDDAH: Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan has met with Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina, on the sidelines of the International Conference on Women in Islam, held in Jeddah, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.
The Saudi FM conveyed the greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to Bangladeshi Prime Minister, and their sincere wishes to Bangladesh and its people.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral ties, and ways to boost and develop them to serve the interests of the two countries.
Developments in Gaza, efforts to cease fire discussed
They also discussed developments in the Gaza and its surroundings, efforts to cease fire, and the importance of securing safe corridors for the entry of humanitarian and urgent assistance to avoid a humanitarian disaster.

The two sides also talked about the most prominent topics raised at the International Conference on Women in Islam, and the importance of supporting all efforts related to the development and empowerment of women.
Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Makkah Region, Mazen bin Hamad Al-Hamli also attended the meeting.
