NEW YORK: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah has met with Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak and reviewed bilateral ties, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. The two officials reviewed relations and discussed developments in the Ukrainian-Russian crisis.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of the Republic of Lebanon Abdullah Bou Habib in New York.
The two officials reviewed the current developments in the Lebanese arena, the danger of the expansion of violence and its repercussions on the security and stability of Lebanon and the region, and the significance of maintaining Lebanon’s stability and respecting its sovereignty in accordance with international law.
Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs also met separately with Vatican’s Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.
The two officials reviewed developments in the regional and international arenas and the efforts made to establish the foundations of international peace and security.
Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah also held a meeting with Bolivian Minister of Foreign Affairs Celinda Sosa at the Saudi mission to the United Nations in New York City.
During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on political consultations between the Kingdom and Bolivia was signed. The two sides also discussed ways to develop bilateral ties in various fields, reviewed the most prominent developments on the international scene, and discussed efforts made in these regards.
Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasil, the director general of the office of the foreign minister, Abdulrahman AlDawood, and the adviser to the minister of foreign affairs, Mohammed Al-Yahya also attended the meeting.
