RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken here on Friday.
In this telephonic conversation, the two leaders discussed regional and international issues of common interest, especially the developments in the Gaza Strip and the efforts made to address the security and humanitarian consequences of Israel’s actions in this region.
Blinken was also scheduled to meet with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Washington on Friday.
He said, ahead of the meeting, it was up to Hamas to agree to a ceasefire that would expand humanitarian aid to Gaza and pave the way for talks towards a “enduring resolution” to the conflict.
