RIYADH: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah has received a telephone call from French Minister for Foreign Affairs Catherine Colonna, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.

According to the SPA, during the conversation, the two sides discussed the current developments in the situation in Gaza and its surroundings. The SPA added that the two top diplomats also discussed the necessity to work to immediately halt the escalation, stressing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s rejection of targeting civilian population in any way and the need for all sides to respect global humanitarian law.
