NEW YORK: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah met with the Foreign Minister of the Netherlands, Hanke Bruins Slot, on the sidelines of the high-level discussion session of the Security Council on the current situation in the Middle East, including the issue of Palestine, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.

According to the SPA, during the meeting, the two sides discussed recent developments in the situation in Gaza and its surroundings, and global efforts made to prevent the military escalation, in addition to discussing the significance of opening safe corridors for the entry of relief, food and medical help to civilians, in compliance with global laws, norms and humanitarian principles.

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal renewed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) call to the world for the necessity of finding a peaceful solution to the crisis that will remove the region from the recurring cycle of violence, halt the bloodshed, and establish a just, comprehensive and sustainable peace for the Palestinians, the SPA further said.
