RIYADH: Saudi Arabis’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah has met with Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral ties, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday.
During the meeting on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2024, in Davos, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen and develop their relationship and the latest developments of common concern.
Saudi Ambassador to Switzerland, Dr. Adel Mirdad, and Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Al-Yahya also attended the meeting.
The SPA reported that Saudi Foreign Minister also met with with Red Cross International Committee President Mirjana Spoljaric Egger in Davos.

The two officials discussed topics of common interest related to relief and humanitarian affairs, including the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

The meeting was attended by Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the UN Office in Geneva Abdulmohsen Majed bin Khothaila and Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammed Al-Yahya.
Meanwhile, the Saudi Foreign Minister met Foreign Minister of Nigeria Yusuf Tuggar on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2024 and discussed ways to enhance bilateral ties in all fields, in addition to the most prominent regional and international issues of shared interest.
