RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah has held a telephone call with French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.
According to the SPA, at the start of the phone call, the Saudi Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the support of the France about the UN resolution issued on Oct 27, 2023. This resolution aims to achieve an urgent truce and establish an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in the besieged Gaza Strip while upholding global laws, norms, and humanitarian principles.

During their discussion, the two sides discussed the current military escalation in the Gaza. They underscored the significance of facilitating the work of humanitarian and relief organizations to provide immediately needed help to the region. Additionally, the ministers also highlighted the importance of supporting political solutions in line with relevant global resolutions to bring an end to the current crisis.
