In December last year, French President Emmanuel Macron paid a three-day official visit to Saudi Arabia. During the visit, the two sides signed a strategic partnership aimed at deepening bilateral ties and de-escalating conflict in the Middle East.
In June 2023 Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz visited France. Besides meeting with President Emmanuel Macron, he also took part in the Summit for a New Global Financial Pact in Paris.
