Saudi Envoy Praises ‘Road to Makkah’ Project for Easing Pilgrims’ Journey

ISLAMABAD: Saudi envoy to Pakistan Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, in a significant development, lauded the ‘Road to Makkah’ project as a remarkable step that has brought huge relief to the pilgrims.

Speaking to media, the envoy expressed his gratitude to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman for launching this highly well-organized facility.

Saudi Envoy Commends ‘Road to Makkah’ Project

The project aimed at enhancing further the ease and relief of intending pilgrims from 7 nations including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Morocco, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey, and Ivory Coast, the envoy added.

Highlighting the careful management of the project, Ambassador Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, revealed that it was keenly supervised by Saudi Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud.

He announced that this year alone, more than 26,000 pilgrims would take benefit from the service provided at Islamabad Airport. He said that the immigration process would be accomplished at Islamabad airport, saving valuable time at the airports in the Kingdom Saudi Arabia (KSA).

The envoy expressed hope that the facility would be expended to other major cities including Karachi and Lahore, by next year.

Praying for the prosperity and stability of Pakistan, the envoy conveyed his belief that the nation would rise to become a global leader in upcoming years as these words of encouragement further solidify the solid bond between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

Similarly, Saudi Press Attaché Dr. Naif Al-Otaibi took to Twitter to share a video showcasing the dedicated officials of the ‘Road to Makkah’ project from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

 

The video emphasized the team leader’s instructions to receive intending pilgrims with warm smiles and hospitality. Stressing the importance of performing their duties with honesty, the team leader highlighted that their generous service to the intending pilgrims would be rewarded by the Almighty.

The arrival of intending pilgrims at Islamabad Airport has been marked by a heartwarming sign: a warm welcome and the presentation of garlands. This kind and affectionate reception from Saudi officials have also multiplied the love and admiration for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in the hearts of the pilgrims embarking on their journey.
