ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, Nawaf bin Said Al-Malki, has congratulated Olympic gold medallist Arshad Nadeem on winning gold in the men’s javelin final at the Asian Athletics Championship in Gumi, South Korea, on Saturday.
The ambassador in a post on X wrote that when ambitions are high, the result becomes gold. ‘I congratulate athlete Arshad Nadeem on winning the gold medal in the Asian Athletics Championship.’

Arshad Nadeem threw a massive 86.40m to win gold in the men’s javelin final at the Asian Athletics Championship.
India’s Sachin Yadav took the silver with a 85.16m and Japan’s Yuta Sakiyama took home bronze with an 83.75m throw.
After leading the field in the first few throws, Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Tharanga Pathirage was bumped off the podium to finish fourth with an 83.27m throw.
Pakistan’s Muhammad finished eighth with a 75.39m throw.
Nadeem’s consistent performance throughout the event, capped by this remarkable throw, secured him the top spot on the podium.
