RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz has received a telephone call from UK Secretary of State for Defense, Grant Shapps, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.

According to the SPA, during the telephone call, the strategic defense partnership between Saudi Arabia and the UK and ways to strengthen and develop it in areas of joint cooperation were reviewed, and the efforts made about regional and global developments were also discussed.

The SPA further reported that the two sides discussed the latest developments of the situation in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings, citing the efforts made about them. For his part, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz stressed the significance of a comprehensive cessation of military operations, protecting civilian population, and introducing humanitarian help.
