RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Minister of Defence, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, has received in his office in Riyadh, the Secretary of State for Defence of the United Kingdom, Grant Shapps, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), during the meeting, they discussed the strategic ties between Saudi Arabia and the UK. The two sides also reviewed aspects of cooperation in the military and defence sectors, and means to enhance and develop the ties.

They discussed the military escalation in Gaza and its surroundings, and the world efforts exerted towards it, the SPA added. Minister of Defence, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz stressed the need to cool the current situation in Gaza.
According to the SPA, the meeting was also attended by the Saudi envoy to the UK, Prince Khaled bin Bandar bin Sultan, the Vice Minister of Defense, Prince Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, several top officials.
