RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman on Wednesday strongly condemned Israeli attacks in the region, including “brutal aggression against Qatar,” reaffirming the Kingdom’s rejection of such actions.

In his annual address to the Shoura Council, delivered on behalf of King Salman, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman condemned Tuesday’s attack in Doha that targeted Hamas leaders and claimed six lives. He emphasised that the incident demands a unified response from Arab, Islamic, and international communities to confront such acts of aggression.

The Crown Prince further called for international measures to deter the Israeli military from actions that threaten regional security and stability, describing them as criminal and destabilizing.

Emphasising Saudi Arabia’s firm position on the Palestinian issue, the Crown Prince reiterated that Gaza is a Palestinian land and the rights of its people cannot be taken away by any aggression, the Saudi Gazette reported.

“Saudi Arabia’s efforts have secured international support for the two-state solution for Palestine,” the Crown Prince maintained. The Crown Prince reiterated the call for all countries to join in supporting the two-state solution.

“The Kingdom’s stance in supporting Palestinian rights remains unwavering,” he asserted.

Pledging support to Syria in rebuilding the war-ravaged country, the Crown Prince said that the Kingdom has succeeded in lifting sanctions on Syria to safeguard its territorial integrity.

Meanwhile, the Crown Prince received a phone call on Tuesday from Jordan’s King Abdullah II to discuss the Israeli attack and violation of Qatari sovereignty.

Both leaders reaffirmed their countries’ solidarity with Qatar and expressed full support for its efforts to protect national security and uphold its sovereignty.

On Tuesday, Israel struck a residential building housing Hamas members as they were discussing the latest proposal presented by U.S. President Donald Trump over a Gaza truce.

Earlier today, Qatar’s Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani warned his country reserved the right to respond to Israel’s deadly attack on Doha, calling it a “pivotal moment” for the entire region.

“Qatar… reserves the right to respond to this blatant attack,” the Qatari Prime Minister told a press conference.

“We believe that today we have reached a pivotal moment. There must be a response from the entire region to such barbaric actions,” Sheikh Mohammed added.
