ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Ulema Council has appealed to the leaders of G20 nations to champion the minorities’ rights in India and resolution of the Kashmir issue at their summit beginning in New Delhi today
In a joint statement, the prominent figures of the Council, specifically called upon Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Mohammad bin Salman, to engage in dialogue with Indian leadership during the G20 summit. Their aim is to address the injustices faced by minorities and work toward a resolution of the Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions.
The scholars emphasized that the Kashmir and Palestine issues hold paramount significance within the Islamic world, and resolving them could make a substantial contribution to global peace. Given Saudi Arabia’s central role in the Islamic community, they expressed hope that Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman would exhibit the same dedication to global peace during his visit to India as he has demonstrated previously.
