RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, on Tuesday held a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin and discussed developments on the regional and international fronts.

During the call, both leaders reviewed relations between the two countries, areas of cooperation, and ways to support and further develop them, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

They also discussed developments on the regional and international fronts, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest.

Russia and Saudi Arabia maintain strong relations, particularly in the areas of energy cooperation and regional diplomacy.

Both countries have worked closely within the OPEC+ framework to coordinate oil production policies and stabilise global energy markets.

In addition, Moscow and Riyadh continue dialogue on trade, investment, and regional security issues of mutual interest.

In December last year, both countries signed an agreement on granting mutual visa-free entry for citizens of their countries.

The accord was concluded on the sidelines of the Saudi–Russian Investment and Business Forum in Riyadh.
