Saudi Crown Prince Receives Call from UN Chief

RIYADH: Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has received a phone call from United Nations chief Antonio Guterres, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Thursday. The talk reviewed the current military escalation in Gaza, the SPA added.

Saudi Crown Prince Receives Call from UN Chief

According to the SPA, the Crown Prince stressed the need for intensified global and regional efforts to stop military operations and decrease escalation to stop their dangerous repercussions on regional and world security and peace.

Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud also called for exerting every possible effort to stop expansion of violence, which would impact stability in the region, the SPA maintained.

According to the SPA, the Crown Prince stressed the significance of working to restore stability and the peace process that guarantee the realization of the legal rights of the Palestinians.

He also highlighted the significant role of the United Nations and its associated institutions in creating safe humanitarian corridors to provide food and medical help to civilians under siege in Gaza, the SPA further reported.
