Saudi Crown Prince Meets with U.S. Secretary of State

RIYADH:  Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, has met with the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken at the Winter Tent in AlUla, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.

According to the SPA, during the meeting, they reviewed bilateral ties and ways to boost cooperation to the benefit of the two countries.

They also exchanged views on regional and international developments and efforts being made to achieve security and stability, especially the latest developments in Gaza and its surroundings and endeavors in this regard.

The Crown Prince stressed the importance of stopping military operations, intensifying humanitarian action, and working to create conditions for restoring stability.

He also urged the need for a peace process that ensures that the Palestinian people gain their legitimate rights and achieve a just and lasting peace.

The SPA reported that Saudi Ambassador to the U.S. Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdelaziz, Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of the National Guard Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Culture Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, and Minister of State and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed bin Muhammad Al-Aiban were also present during the meeting.

U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom Michael Ratney and his accompanying delegation attended the meeting.

Blinken is on a regional tour as part of a diplomatic effort to stop the war in Gaza.

Earlier on Monday, Blinken visited UAE where he met with President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and stressed the importance of urgently addressing humanitarian needs in Gaza.
