RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has received Russian President Vladimir Putin at Al Yamamah Palace in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
According to the SPA, the Crown Prince and President Putin held an extensive meeting in the presence of the delegations of both nations. At the beginning of the meeting, the Crown Prince delivered a speech, welcoming the Russian President to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), the SPA maintained. The Crown Prince highlighted the historical and strong ties between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Russia, noting that Russia was the first nation to recognize the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after the establishment of the third Saudi state, the SPA reported.
“Today, we share many interests and collaborate on numerous files for the benefit of both the Kingdom and Russia, as well as the Middle East and the world at large,” the Crown Prince said, highlighting the tremendous achievements between the two nations over the past 7 years, whether in the energy filed, trade, agriculture, investment, or other fields.

The Crown Prince lauded the coordination and political work between the two nations, which helped ease many tensions in the Middle East and contributed to enhancing future political and security coordination, which will boost the security of the Middle East and the whole world. He highlighted the present and future opportunities, describing them as important opportunities that necessitate collective action for the interests of our people, the region, and the entire world, the SPA reported.

The Crown Prince reiterated the welcome to President Putin, saying that he is a special and highly esteemed guest in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), both by the government and the people.
Russian President Putin, in turn, delivered a speech expressing his gratitude to the Crown Prince for the invitation to visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), noting the depth of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
President Putin also highlighted the achievements and successes between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and Russia over the past 7 years, expressing his anticipation for meeting the Crown Prince in Moscow, Russia, the SPA added.

President Putin also noted that the Soviet Union was the first nation to recognize the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), highlighting the important development and qualitative leap in the abilities of the relationship, and attributing this achievement to the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince.
He highlighted the solid cooperation between the two nations in several sectors, including in politics and economy, their shared assessment of the recent developments at the global level, extending his thanks to the Crown Prince for the kind invitation.
According to the SPA, the Crown Prince and President Putin also held a bilateral meeting during which they discussed matters of common concern.
President Putin and his accompanying delegation left Riyadh on Wednesday, after his tour to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

At King Khalid International Airport, the Russian President was bid farewell by Governor of the Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, and other top officials.
