Saudi Crown Prince Holds Meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister

ISLAMABAD: Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, met Tuesday at Al-Salam Palace in Jeddah with Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi and his accompanying delegation, according to SPA.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and discussed the latest regional developments and the efforts being made in that regard.

Meanwhile, Minister of Defence Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met in his office in Jeddah with Iranian Foreign Minister Dr Abbas Araghchi.

During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and areas of cooperation and discussed regional developments and the efforts being made in this regard in a manner that contributes to regional and international security and stability.

Both ministers also addressed issues of mutual interest.

Resolving disputes

The Crown Prince expressed the Kingdom’s aspiration that the ceasefire agreement would contribute to creating conditions that promote security and stability in the region, emphasising the Kingdom’s stance in supporting dialogue through diplomatic means as a path to resolving disputes.

For his part, the Iranian foreign minister expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom for its stance in condemning the Israeli aggression and his appreciation for the efforts and initiatives of the Crown Prince to promote security and stability in the region.

The meeting was attended by Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, and National Security Adviser Dr Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban.
