RAMALLAH, Palestine: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas received an official letter from Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, reaffirming the Kingdom’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights.

In his message, the Crown Prince expressed Saudi Arabia’s full solidarity with the Palestinian people amid the ongoing conflict and mounting economic hardships, Palestinian official news agency Wafa reported on Wednesday.

The Crown Prince reiterated the Kingdom’s firm and consistent stance on the Palestinian cause, emphasising continued support for the Palestinian people in their pursuit of an independent state within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative.

He further stressed that Saudi Arabia will continue to back the Palestinian Authority, helping it fulfill its responsibilities, and will work to mobilise international efforts to end the Israeli aggression, facilitate the delivery of urgent humanitarian aid to Gaza, lift the financial blockade, and release withheld Palestinian tax revenues.

The Crown Prince noted that the Kingdom, in coordination with its global partners, is working to ensure the success of political efforts aimed at resolving the Palestinian issue peacefully.

He highlighted the Kingdom’s prominent role in the high-level international conference on the two-state solution, which Saudi Arabia co-chaired with the French Republic.

The Crown Prince noted that the conference marked a significant moment, as an increasing number of countries announced their intention to recognize the State of Palestine—a step he described as “historic,” reflecting the expanding global support for the rights of the Palestinian people.

In conclusion, he expressed his hope that these collective efforts would help advance the implementation of the two-state solution, paving the way for security and stability for the State of Palestine and the wider region.

He also extended his wishes to President Abbas and expressed hope for peace and prosperity for the Palestinian people.
