CAIRO: Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has held talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and discussed a range of strategic issues and bilateral ties, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The Crown Prince arrived in Cairo on Tuesday for an official visit. Upon his arrival at Cairo International Airport, he was received by Egyptian President El-Sisi. The two leaders later travelled to Al-Ittihadiya Palace for a formal reception ceremony.
During the reception, the Crown Prince greeted Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and other senior government officials. President El-Sisi also welcomed the Saudi delegation.
The Saudi Crown Prince and President El-Sisi held a meeting to discuss a range of strategic issues. The Egyptian president expressed his appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s continued support and cooperation. The Crown Prince conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to President El-Sisi.
During the session, they reviewed the strategic bilateral ties between the two brotherly countries and explored ways to strengthen them in various fields. They also discussed issues related to the Arab and Islamic arenas, as well as developments in the Middle East, especially efforts to address security and stability in the region.

The Crown Prince and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi also witnessed the signing of the minutes establishing a supreme coordination council between Saudi Arabia and Egypt, which they co-chair.
Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah of Saudi Arabia and Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty signed the agreement.
The Crown Prince and President El-Sisi witnessed the signing of an agreement aimed at fostering and safeguarding mutual investments between the two nations. The agreement was signed by Minister of Investment Eng. Khalid Al-Falih of Saudi Arabia and Egyptian Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Hassan El-Khatib.
The Crown Prince later departed Cairo, with President El-Sisi bidding him farewell at Cairo International Airport.
