RIYADH: His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the Cabinet session held in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
According to the SPA, at the outset of the session, the Cabinet was briefed on the content of the message that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received from President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro, the content of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud’s reception of State of Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas, and the discussions held in the meeting concerning the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s continued efforts to communicate with global and regional parties to stop the escalation.
The SPA reported that the Cabinet confirmed its absolute rejection of extremist and incendiary Israeli statements and the continuous provocations of the feelings of Muslims across the world, calling on the world to put an end to the humanitarian catastrophe that Palestinians are experiencing, and to activate serious mechanisms to hold Israeli officials accountable for the current violations of international laws, norms and resolutions.
Minister of Media Salman bin Yousef Al-Dossary told the SPA in a statement following the session that the Cabinet discussed the results of the meetings held in Switzerland designated to construct tangible and immediate measures to alleviate the suffering of the people of Sudan and achieve a permanent cessation of hostilities, stressing that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) will continue to work with international partners until the restoration of security and stability to the brotherly nation.
The Cabinet also touched on the major local economic developments and the latest relevant statistics and indicators, including a 10.5% increase in non-oil exports in the second quarter of this year, compared to the same period in 2023.
The Cabinet also congratulated the winners of the 44th session of the King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorization, Recitation and Interpretation of the Holy Quran, highlighting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) keenness since its establishment to serve Holy Quran, considering this the noblest goals.
The minister of media further said that the Cabinet lauded the success of the first edition of the Esports World Cup, which embodies the efforts to enhance the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s position as a global destination for major sporting events and activities.
