RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting in Jeddah on Wednesday, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations, ways to boost cooperation in various fields, and the latest regional and international developments, according to the SPA.
Radio Pakistan reported that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening defence and security cooperation, recognizing the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing regional security challenges.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Jeddah for a four-day official visit to Saudi Arabia. Upon arrival, he was welcomed by Deputy Governor of Makkah, H.R.H. Prince Saud bin Mashal bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud.

Saudi and Pakistani senior officials also attended the meeting.
Economic collaboration
Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the growing economic collaboration between the two nations, Radio Pakistan reported.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister appreciated the Kingdom’s commitment to increasing investments in key sectors, which will contribute to Pakistan’s economic growth and stability.

The two leaders held in-depth discussions on the evolving regional situation as well as geopolitical landscape.
They agreed to work closely at all levels for promoting their shared vision for peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
Saudi Crown Prince acknowledged the significant contributions of the Pakistani community in Saudi Arabia and agreed to enhance measures to facilitate their welfare, according to Radio Pakistan.
Both the leaders also emphasised the need to further strengthen people-to-people ties, cultural exchanges, and educational collaboration.
Common vision
The Prime Minister and the Crown Prince reaffirmed their commitment to elevating Pakistan-Saudi Arabia partnership to new heights, guided by mutual respect, shared interests, and a common vision for progress and prosperity, Radio Pakistan reported.
Earlier, Shehbaz Sharif and his accompanying delegation arrived in Jeddah. The SPA reported that upon his arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport, he was received by Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishal bin Abdulaziz, Mayor of Jeddah Saleh bin Ali Al-Turki, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki, and a number of officials.
Attracting Saudi investment
Prime Minister Sharif also met with Saudi Investment Minister Khalid Al-Falih and Head of the Joint Task Force for Economic Engagement Mohammad Al-Tuwaijri, according to an official Government of Pakistan’s Instagram post.

The discussions focused on strengthening economic cooperation, attracting Saudi investments, and accelerating joint initiatives in key sectors, it added.
