RIYADH: Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Research, Development and Innovation Authority Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Swaha has met with South Africa’s Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Dr. Bonginkosi Nzimande, and discussed the strategic partnership between the two countries in research, innovation and development, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.
The two officials reviewed the development of digital skills, collaboration in innovation oases and expanding technical partnerships between private sector companies and entrepreneurs in the two countries, to further advance innovation.
During the meeting mechanisms to support the growth of the digital economy and empower entrepreneurs to foster innovation that serves humanity through the use of AI and modern technologies came under discussion.
