MADINAH:  The Children’s Nursery Centre near Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah provided its services to more than 48,000 children from 100 nationalities during the previous Islamic year, 1446 AH (July 7, 2024, to June 26, 2025), Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.

The centre offered a range of educational, recreational, and awareness programmes for children aged two to nine.

According to the General Authority for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, a total of 32,410 Arabic-speaking children benefited from the centre’s services during the previous Islamic year (1446 AH), along with 15,596 non-Arabic-speaking children.

The centre provides age-appropriate programmes aimed at enriching children’s religious and cultural understanding, while prioritising their safety and comfort.

With the capacity to accommodate 100 children per hour, it operates under a secure system that links drop-off and pick-up procedures to the parents’ identity.

Fully equipped and furnished to operate 24 hours a day, the centre offers a safe and welcoming environment, allowing parents to perform their rituals at the Prophet’s Mosque with peace of mind, knowing their children are engaged in meaningful activities and receiving high-quality care.

A satisfaction survey conducted among parents and guardians showed a 96% approval rate for the services provided.
