Saudi Cabinet Adopts Transfer of Economic Cities HQ to Riyadh

JEDDAH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s (KSA) cabinet, presided over by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman at Al-Salam Palace on Tuesday, adopted the transfer of the headquarters of the Economic Cities and Special Zones Authority (SZA) from King Abdullah Economic City in Rabigh Governorate to Riyadh City.

According to Arab media, the meeting was informed about Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s state visit to France, after the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and lauded the distinguished ties between the two nations and ways to strengthen them in all sectors.

The cabinet also exchanged views over the recent developments following talks between Riyadh and Tehran, including the progress made in the process of resuming diplomatic and consular relations between the two nations and cooperation on a number of regional and global issues of mutual interest.

The cabinet thanked nations that supported KSA’s bid to host Expo 2030, which provides an opportunity for Saudi Arabia to share with other nations and peoples of the world its story of unparalleled transformation, and to offer a platform that enables the global community to coordinate closely for a better future and to generate innovative solutions to address the current challenges facing the world.

At the beginning of the meeting, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques welcomed guests from across the world, who reached Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj this year, repeating the pride that this nation takes in serving pilgrims to the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, and in ensuring their safety, security, and comfort.

The Saudi Press Agency reported that Saudi Cabinet was also briefed on the country’s foreign policy activities, especially those aiming to strengthen cooperation with other nations and advance combined work toward broader horizons in all sectors.
