MANAMA: The fourth session of the Saudi-Bahraini Joint Consular Committee was held on Wednesday at the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The SPA reported that the meeting was chaired by the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs undersecretary for consular affairs, Ambassador Ali bin Abdulrahman Al-Yousef, and the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs undersecretary for consular and administrative affairs, Dr. Issa Nasser Al-Nuaimi.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Al-Nuaimi has emphasized that the fourth session of the Joint Consular Committee comes as an execution of the initiative approved by the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council.
Dr. Al-Nuaimi highlighted the strong commitment of both sides in order to develop and enhance consular cooperation as a fundamental pillar in the historical and brotherly ties between the two sides, the SPA added.
Dr. Al-Nuaimi also noted this commitment is in accordance with the noble directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, as well as the directives of governments of both nations, led by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), and Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, in their shared efforts to set up the foundations of cooperation, connectivity and integration to serve the interests of both countries and their brotherly people, according to the SPA.
Additionally, he also expressed the pride of the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the significant achievements made in consular cooperation between the two brotherly countries within the framework of the responsibilities and tasks assigned to the Consular Committee.
Ambassador Al-Yousef also highlighted the deep-rooted historical brotherly ties between the two nations, noting the continuous development and growth in various sectors, especially in consular work. During the meeting, joint efforts were also reviewed, and various steps and opportunities for exchanging experiences between the two nations in the consular field were discussed.
