PORT SUDAN: A tenth relief plane from Saudi Arabia landed at Port Sudan International Airport on Tuesday, carrying thirty tons of foodstuffs and medical supplies.
The package is part of the Saudi relief airlift, run by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, to assist the Sudanese public in implementing the directives of the Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
The aid package reflects the important humanitarian role played by Saudi Arabia through KSrelief to benefit all nations in need.
OIC welcomes ceasefire extension in Sudan
Meanwhile, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation has welcomed the deal reached during the Jeddah meeting by the Sudanese military and the Rapid Support Forces to extend the current ceasefire in Sudan for 5 days, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The Jeddah-based OIC secretariat-general voiced hope that the deal would pave the way for a permanent ceasefire and end the armed conflict in the country.
It lauded the extensive efforts Saudi Arabia and the United States (US) exerted in having the two sides agree to extend the ceasefire.
