ISLAMABAD: A high-level delegation of Saudi Arabia led by Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih arrived in Islamabad on Wednesday, local media reported.
The delegation has arrived ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit in Islamabad.
According to media reports, agreements worth $2 billion are expected to be signed between Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Officials have informed local media that the Saudi minister will oversee the signing of several memorandums of understanding (MOUs) and also hold business-to-business interactions.

Saudi companies of construction, financial services, engineering, IT, agriculture, food, hospitality, energy, and petroleum are part of the visiting delegation.
The Saudi investment minister will also address a business forum at a local hotel in Islamabad as well as hold talks with senior leadership of Pakistan’s private sector.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that “Pakistan is expected to sign agreements and MoUs worth $2 billion with Saudi Arabia” in various sectors during the visit.
