MAKKAH: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has issued a request to all pilgrims and visitors to refrain from sleeping or lying down in the Grand Mosque in Makkah. The appeal aims to ensure compliance with regulations and instructions in the holy site.
The Ministry emphasized that pilgrims should avoid sleeping in areas such as corridors, places of prayer, emergency vehicle routes, and paths designated for wheelchair users with disabilities. This measure aims to maintain a smooth flow of movement within the mosque and to prioritize the safety and comfort of all worshippers.
Ministry Urges Pilgrims to Observe Etiquette of Umrah
Furthermore, the Ministry urged pilgrims to observe the proper etiquette of Umrah, which includes displaying good manners towards fellow visitors and cooperating with the organizers and workers. These practices are essential to create a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere for all those performing the pilgrimage.
To avoid any violations of the regulations, every individual intending to perform Umrah must obtain a permit through the Nusuk or Tawakkalna services before arriving at the Grand Mosque in Makkah. This ensures that only authorized individuals are granted access to perform their religious rites.
The Ministry’s call for compliance with these guidelines seeks to facilitate a smooth and organized pilgrimage experience for all visitors and to maintain the sacredness of the Grand Mosque as a place of worship and spiritual reflection.
