RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s National Platform for Charitable Work, Ehsan, distributed around 725,000 meals and 300,000 umbrellas to pilgrims during the 2025 Hajj season, providing extensive support and care to visitors undertaking the religious journey.
The platform enabled philanthropists across Saudi Arabia to contribute over SAR377 million through more than 6.5 million donations during the Hajj season, supporting a wide range of charitable projects across social, religious, housing, food, medical, and educational sectors, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.
Through its seasonal initiatives, the Ehsan platform sponsored 940 male and female first-time Hajj pilgrims, enabling them to fulfill this religious obligation.
It also distributed approximately 725,000 meals and 300,000 umbrellas to pilgrims, in addition to providing a variety of health and care services.
The Ehsan platform successfully distributed the meat of more than 74,000 sacrificial animals and has expanded its efforts to include a variety of charitable, developmental, and healthcare initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable giving.
