JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia’s Cabinet on Tuesday welcomed the increasing international support for the upcoming international conference on the peaceful resolution of the Palestinian cause and the implementation of the two-state solution.
Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, chaired the Cabinet session held in Jeddah on Tuesday, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The Cabinet also stressed the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza and the delivery of humanitarian aid. The upcoming conference will be co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France.
The Cabinet reviewed the comprehensive economic, cultural, and social development efforts of Saudi Arabia, along with completed plans and programmes aimed at advancing national progress and benefiting citizens.
The Cabinet reviewed measures aimed at stabilising Riyadh’s real estate market and reiterated the government’s dedication to tackling the surge in land prices and rental rates that the capital has experienced in recent years.
Additionally, the Cabinet highlighted that the recent discoveries of oil and natural gas in the Eastern Region and the Empty Quarter mark a significant advancement for the Kingdom’s economy. These findings are expected to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s ability to meet both domestic and international energy needs over the long term.
In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency following the session, Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary said that the Cabinet views the Kingdom’s high rankings in international indicators as confirmation of the state’s strong support for all sectors, driving them toward greater competitiveness and global leadership.
The Cabinet commended the awards earned by government entities and Saudi students at the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions 2025.
The Cabinet praised the successful convening of the second Human Capability Initiative Conference in Riyadh, which showcased more than 100 launches, agreements, and memorandums of understanding focused on enhancing global collaboration and supporting the human capital objectives outlined in Vision 2030.
The Cabinet also reviewed recent discussions and consultations with allied and friendly countries, addressing regional and global developments, exploring opportunities for cooperation, and reinforcing partnerships across a wide range of sectors.
The meeting reiterated Saudi Arabia’s active role in supporting international security and stability, as well as its efforts to alleviate humanitarian suffering.
