The Saudi delegation welcomed young entrepreneurs to develop their enterprises within the Kingdom and participate in its flagship initiatives at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance Summit on Saturday in New Delhi.

The summit took place from July 13–15 while India held the G20 presidency. It attracted hundreds of participants from the G20 member countries and was hosted by Young Indians, a group of businessmen that is a part of the Confederation of Indian Industry. Its themes included inclusive trade, cooperation in the transition to green energy, the adoption of a circular economy, and ways to take advantage of the potential of the global digital transformation to support inclusive growth.

Prince Fahad bin Mansour, head of the Saudi G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance and chairman of Saudi Arabia’s Entrepreneurship Vision, led the group from Saudi Arabia.

Prince Fahad addressed the summit attendees, saying, “We are biban, which means doors. We are here to welcome you to the kingdom of opportunities, and everyone of us is an open door to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He extended an invitation to business owners from around the world to migrate, grow, or launch new ventures in Saudi Arabia with the help of the summit’s strategic partner, the Kingdom’s investment brand Invest Saudi.

They will support you on your path, stated Prince Fahad. They are with us today to ensure that you receive all the support need to be in Saudi.

NEOM, the Kingdom’s flagship $500 billion smart city project, was also extended a special invitation “for dreamers, innovators, and creators” to participate.

“This is the nation of entrepreneurs, and you are invited to participate in building this giga project and join more than 1,000 entrepreneurs who are already in NEOM,” he declared.

A communiqué from the G20 issued at the summit’s conclusion made proposals to improve connection and digitization as well as to address the world food crisis on behalf of millions of young entrepreneurs.

Members of the YEA urged world leaders to address issues with cybersecurity and digital inclusion for start-up companies, improve young entrepreneurs’ access to capital, remove obstacles to inclusive trade, broaden participation of women and other marginalized groups in entrepreneurial opportunities, and support green innovation and the shift to a global circular economy.

“We believe immediate commitments by G20 governments with respect to the areas we have highlighted can send a powerful message to those within our societies who can best lead this effort—our young entrepreneurs,” the communiqué stated.

We provide these suggestions in the spirit of cooperation because we really believe that supporting young entrepreneurs in all of our communities will promote dynamism, expansion, and the economic and social rebirth of our planet.
