RIYADH: Saudi Minister of Defence Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz has made a phone call to US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth and discussed efforts to achieve security and stability in the region and the world.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), during the call on Wednesday, the two sides reviewed relations, explored ways to enhance them, and discussed opportunities for further development within the framework of the strategic defence partnership.
They also addressed efforts to achieve security and stability in the region and the world, in addition to discussing a number of issues of common interest.
It is pertinent to mention that US President Donald Trump visited Saudi Arabia in May to strengthen bilateral trade and economic ties.
In February this year, Prince Khalid bin Salman paid an official visit to the US and met with Secretary of State Marco Rubio at the State Department.
During the meeting, they discussed their nations’ common vision to overcome shared challenges and promote international peace and security.
Prince Khalid also met his US counterpart, Pete Hegseth, and discussed the strategic relationship between the Kingdom and the US.
