RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has expressed deep concern over the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, according to Saudi Gazette.
The newspaper reported that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on both sides to de-escalate, avoid further escalation, and resolve their disputes through diplomatic means.
Regional stability and peace
The Kingdom emphasised the importance of respecting the principles of good neighborliness and working toward regional stability and peace for the benefit of both peoples and the wider region.
Earlier, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Saturday that Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah spoke by telephone with Pakistan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ishaq Dar.
The two ministers reviewed relations between their countries and discussed the evolving situation in the region and efforts being made to reduce tensions, according to the SPA.
