RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has underscored that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is not only a fundamental right of the Palestinian people but also a crucial pillar for achieving lasting regional and global security and stability.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in its capacity as Chair of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, hosted in Riyadh on Sunday the High-Level Coordination Meeting of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, in partnership with the European Union and Norway as co-chairs.
High-level representatives from several countries and regional and international organisations participated in the meeting, according to a statement issued by the Saudi Foreign Ministry on Monday.
The Kingdom’s representative at the meeting, Dr. Manal Radwan, Minister Plenipotentiary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, affirmed the Kingdom’s unwavering commitment to working with the State of Palestine and all its partners to achieve peace, statehood, and stability for the Palestinian people.
Dr. Manal stressed that establishing a Palestinian state represents a regional and international priority, moral responsibility, and a fundamental condition for maintaining regional and global security and peace.

Discussions focused on aligning the principles outlined in the New York Declaration on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine, the peace proposal by US President Donald Trump, and the Sharm El Sheikh Declaration, aiming to ensure consistency across diplomatic, humanitarian, and institutional efforts toward a just and lasting peace.
The Riyadh meeting represented a key milestone in strengthening coordination among the core members of the global alliance, setting the foundation for a comprehensive action plan to facilitate the transition toward the establishment of a Palestinian State with East Jerusalem as its capital, while promoting regional security and stability.
Participants also stressed the importance of the Emergency Coalition for the Financial Sustainability of the Palestinian Authority, an initiative launched by Saudi Arabia in partnership with Norway, Spain, and France.
The meeting reiterated urgent appeals for international financial assistance to address the crisis stemming from the continued withholding of Palestinian clearance revenues.
Moreover, participants reviewed the latest developments in Gaza, underscoring the importance of delivering humanitarian aid according to humanitarian principles and supporting UNRWA in providing essential services, primarily in health and education, to the Palestinian people.
