RIYADH: The Saudi Amateur Radio Society said that it is making preparation in order to launch the largest radio telescope in the Arab world, local media reported on Sunday.
Prince Badr bin Fahd, the head of the association, said the telescope project was in line with Saudi Vision 2030 targets of sustainable progress, development, digital transformation and attracting investments in the fields of innovation and technology.

The Saudi Press Agency reported that the construction instrument is completed, and all tests will be carried out before it is connected to the radio telescope system developed at universities.
The Saudi Press Agency reported that the radio telescope will be positioned at the astronomical observatory in Mashar National Park.
