RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has decided to include the subject of copyright in the education curriculum.
As per details, the Saudi Copyright Authority and the Ministry of Education have announced to include ‘copyright’ topics in the education curriculum. According to Al-Arabiya Net, this initiative aims to create awareness among students regarding the protection of intellectual rights.
Through this initiative, students will be informed about the importance of implementing copyright laws in developing the national economy under the Saudi Vision 2030. Copyright Authority Executive Chairman Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Suwailem said that incorporating copyright awareness into the national mood is being implemented, and the Saudi leadership is committed to protecting copyright.
As per the authority, copyright topics will be included in the educational curriculum according to the educational stages, and the student’s mental and intellectual quality will be considered for teaching this subject.
In addition to the curriculum, several initiatives and programs will be launched in partnership with the Saudi Ministry of Education and the Saudi Copyright Authority. Teachers will also be given training courses regarding copyright, in which teachers will be taught the modern methods of copyright education. Korean Copyright Agency will cooperate in this regard.
