RIYADH: The Executive Board of the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Modern (UIPM) has decided that Riyadh will host the union’s Congress in November 2024, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
According to the SPA, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in March submitted its bid to host the event and successfully finalized all necessary commitments and approvals by September of this year.
Saudi Modern Pentathlon Federation President Nasser Al-Dughether thanked the Saudi leadership for its unwavering support to host the event.

He also lauded Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, as well as Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, the committee’s vice-president, for their interest in hosting the meeting.
