Saudi Arabia to Host Ministerial Summit of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Agencies

RIYADH: Under the patronage of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Arabia will host the first-ever Ministerial Summit of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Agencies in the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah on December 20 and 21.

The summit will discuss the approval of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Convention, one of Saudi Arabia’s initiatives at the regional and international levels for establishing a new stage in the anti-corruption field.

Representatives of Law Enforcement Agencies to participate

This meeting reflects the Kingdom’s interest in activating its qualitative international initiatives to combat corruption and the international community’s participation in efforts to protect the integrity, exchange experiences, and combat corruption.

Ministers and heads and representatives of anti-corruption law enforcement agencies in the OIC member states will participate in the meeting, in addition to various international organizations, including the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL), the Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units, and several experts in the field of protecting the integrity and combating corruption from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and abroad. – AFP/APP
