Saudi Arabia to Attend UN Conference on Anti-Corruption

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia is set to actively participate in the 10th Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption scheduled for Monday in Atlanta, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency on Saturday.

Heading the delegation will be Mazin Al-Kahmous, President of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha). The delegation will include members from various ministries, the Presidency of State Security, and the Bureau of Experts at the Council of Ministers.

The conference agenda encompasses discussions on integrity protection, anti-corruption efforts, and the progression of commitments and policy priorities. The participants will also focus on monitoring implementation strategies and sharing their expertise in the field.

Key topics slated for discussion include asset recovery, the promotion of international cooperation, and the adoption of resolutions aimed at combating corruption effectively. The Kingdom, through its delegation, plans to propose the exploration of methodologies and indicators to assess corruption rates and the efficacy of anti-corruption frameworks.
