Saudi Arabia Strongly Condemns Attack on School in Uganda

RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has strongly condemned the attack on a school in Uganda, Arab media reported on Saturday.

In a statement, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed the Kingdom’s firm rejection of such terrible and criminal acts, which are contrary to religious principles, and humanitarian and moral values.

Riyadh also extended its heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the relatives and families of the victims, the government, and the people of the African country. The Kingdom expressed wishes for a speedy recovery of all wounded people.

Earlier, officials said that at least 41 people, including 38 students, were killed when rebels attacked a school in Uganda.

Local officials said that 38 students, one security guard, and two civilians were killed in the attack in in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town.
