RIYADH: Saudi Arabia dispatched its sixth relief flight to Sudan on Saturday, carrying 30 tons of essential aid supplies including food, shelter, and medical provisions. The initiative is part of the Kingdom’s ongoing humanitarian efforts to assist civilians affected by the ongoing conflict between rival military factions in Sudan.
The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid (KSrelief) is responsible for the delivery of much-needed supplies, acting in accordance with the directives of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The aim is to provide immediate support and relief to the Sudanese people amid the prevailing crisis.
Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian assistance
Prior to the flight, a team from KSrelief held a meeting with Adam Bakhit, the Sudanese Minister of Social Development, to ensure smooth logistical procedures for the efficient and expedited delivery of Saudi aid. This collaborative effort aims to enhance the effectiveness and reach of the relief operations in Sudan.
