MOSCOW: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah has met with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, in Moscow and discussed bilateral ties and regional developments, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.
The two officials reviewed the historical friendship and cooperation between their countries and peoples and explored ways to further strengthen and develop these ties across various fields.
The two sides also held an official round of talks, during which they highlighted the deep-rooted ties between the Kingdom and Russia, and discussed key regional developments along with ongoing efforts to address them.
It is pertinent to mention that in March, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed the developments in the Ukraine crisis with Russian President Vladimir Putin, as part of the Kingdom’s ongoing efforts to resolve the Moscow-Kyiv conflict.
The conversation was held over the phone, which came after a meeting in the Saudi Arabian city of Jeddah between Ukrainian and US officials aimed at ending the Moscow-Kyiv war, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
