MAKKAH, Saudi Arabia: The Roads General Authority (RGA) has introduced a new initiative offering mobile rest stations for pilgrims travelling along the Hijrah Road in case of unexpected bus breakdowns, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The SPA reported that the service aims to ensure the highest standards of comfort and safety during their journey.
Implemented along the Makkah–Madinah Highway (Hijrah Road), the mobile stations operate 24/7 throughout the Hajj season.
Hajj travel experience
Each unit can accommodate approximately 40 pilgrims and is equipped with air conditioning, rest areas, restrooms, cold beverages, and hospitality meals.
This initiative reflects the authority’s commitment to enhancing the Hajj travel experience by ensuring comfort, safety, and continuity of service for pilgrims moving between Makkah, Madinah, and the holy sites.
