RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has secured second position in the Global Cybersecurity Index in the World Competitiveness Yearbook for 2023 by the International Institute for Management Development, Arab media reported on Tuesday.
Saudi Arabia Ranks 2nd in Global Cybersecurity Index
With the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) frequently ranking among the top economies worldwide for cybersecurity, the latest acknowledgement is a proof to the efforts of organizations like the National Cybersecurity Authority, one of Saudi Arabia’s main national security organizations. KSA has cemented its leadership stance via several steps to build a sustainable cybersecurity ecosystem.
The National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) works to strengthen Kingdom’s cyberspace, enabling it to safeguard national security and vigorous state interests. The authority also defends KSA’s critical infrastructure, government services, priority economic sectors, and activities from cyber threats.
It sets the essential standards for licensing the export, import, and use of hardware and software in context of cybersecurity, while safeguarding compliance with these top standards.
