RIYADH: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Oman on Saturday inked an executive program to cooperate in the field of communications, IT infrastructure and undersea cable investments.

The agreement was inked between the Kingdom’s Ministry of Communications and IT and the Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and IT, in the presence of and Oman’s Saeed bin Hamoud Al-Ma’awali and Saudi Arabia’s Abdullah Al-Swaha.
According to the Saudi press Agency the agreement aims to utilize the geographical location of the two sides and promote investment in the submarine and terrestrial cables.

It would enable the two sides to create a common work environment to further enhance cooperation in the sector of infrastructure for communications, and high-speed digital interconnection for exchange of data.
