RIYADH:  Saudi Arabia has launched a specialised training programme on national security for the members of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Sunday.

The initiative is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s capacity-building initiatives for candidates from coalition members.

To date, the Kingdom has delivered 46 training and professional development programmes across a wide range of counter-terrorism areas, including intellectual, media, counter-terrorism financing, and military sectors.

The current programme serves 21 participants, providing them with the knowledge and practical skills needed to understand national security—its key features, frameworks, and implementation mechanisms—ultimately supporting development and stability throughout the region.

This initiative is among several training programs offered by the IMCTC as part of its broader strategy to enhance human resource capacity in security fields and strengthen coordination among member states, ensuring the effective exchange of expertise and experience.
