MAKKAH: The Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, through its Women’s Affairs Agency, has launched a new initiative aimed at promoting tranquillity and enhancing the spiritual focus of female Hajj pilgrims.

The initiative is designed to help women perform the Hajj rituals in a deeply devotional and serene environment.

The initiative features a comprehensive programme of enrichment activities, guidance sessions, and a dedicated platform to address pilgrims’ questions.

It places a strong focus on raising awareness and offering spiritual guidance, particularly for female pilgrims.

The programme emphasizes the values of gentleness and tranquility, while also providing educational resources on the correct practices and etiquette of performing Hajj rituals.

On Monday, Saudi Arabia launched one of its most extensive health preparedness initiatives for the 2025 Hajj season, activating a wide-reaching emergency medical network to ensure the safety and well-being of the millions of pilgrims expected at the holy sites.

During a press conference in Riyadh, Minister of Health Fahd Al Jalajel outlined the scope and advanced capabilities of the Kingdom’s medical response system.

The plan includes the deployment of 11 air evacuation aircraft, 900 ambulances, and 71 first aid stations positioned at key locations across the Hajj route.

Meanwhile, the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has explained that the ban on children’s entry for Hajj 2025 is intended to address the growing crowds during the pilgrimage and ensure the safety of children.

This year, the annual pilgrimage is expected to take place in June. While the exact number of pilgrims for Hajj 2025 is yet to be confirmed, early projections indicate it could be a record-breaking year, with more than 2.5 million pilgrims expected to participate.
